80GB of PS3

Trust Sony Computer Entertainment to make sure their game console is always on the news. Currently in a battle it has never lost before in the console wars with Wii and Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 is going to get bigger real soon.

Not much would change apparently, just the storage capacity. Remember the first time the PS3 was released? It came in two versions: the less-successful 20GB and the more practical 60GB edition. Come June of this year, which is just a few days away, the market would be flooded with supplies of an 80GB PlayStation 3.

Well, that is if you are currently residing in South Korea. That is due to the fact that SCEI decided to release it first in that part of the world. The reason behind that is they are aiming to sell the console as more than just a gaming equipment. It is targeting those who would want to avail of something that is entertainment beyond gaming. And South Koreans are known for needing a bigger broadband network than perhaps any country.

Fret not though, the 80GB PlayStation 3 would probably be available near you real soon.
