The Bravia line of Sony is known for its top-of-the-line entries in the LCD television department. The suppossedly least expensive of these sets is the KDL-S3000 series. This makes it the closest thing to being one of the more popular brands out there.

Still, Sony comes up with the biggest screen of this series. The 46 inch-set may be a huge one but it still resorts to conservative looks. As flat panel HDTVs go, Sony must have built a shy one.

Here is a look at soem of its specifications:

1) Weight: 60.6 lbs

2) 16:9 image ratio

3) 1366 x 768 resolution

Reviewers are quick to note of the KD-46S3000′s highly proficient standard-def video processing. Also noteworthy is its numerous picture controls that gives consumers more freedom to vary their viewing pleasure.

However, a few shortcomings such as a boring menu design might turn off some sophisticated buyers. Another fault could be its imagery. While it is satisfactory, a sharper image could have helped.

This 22 inch-monitor is designed to impress anyone who lays their eyes on it. It is a beauty in any desk. Plus, this LCD monitor has picture quality that is at par with the standouts of this field.

Among the more important features of this monitor are the following:

1) TFT Active Matrix technology

2) Digital Visual Interface

3) Built-in stereo speakers

4) UL, EPA Energy Star compliant

5) Max resolution of 1680 x 1050

Add to these features is the way you can swivel it to portrait mode. Such a sweet feature if you ask me. What is the most intriguing feature of this monitor, though is it is HDCP-compliant too. Word of warning from insiders though: HD is still best for televisions. Sad to say, PCs still have not tapped its full potential.

It more than makes up for this flaw with its overall standout performance and reasonable price tag.

Monitors nowadays get sleeker and sleeker. Add to that the booming popularity of LCD monitors and voila! We are now at an age where the appearance of the monitor really matters. However, sometimes looks may kill but the performance could be suicide.

That is what bothers reviewers of the new LCD monitor of LG. The LG Flatron L226WTQ-BF is a good-looking piece and has excellent positive aspects in it. Here are the stats:

1) 22 inches Screen

2) Analog, Digital, VGA PC Interface

3) Native Resolution: 1680 x 1050

What is bothersome though is a minor nitpick: it has no Built-In TV Tuner which I find hard to believe with monitors thiese days. However, it somehow makes up for it with its fast feature enhancers like its OSD(On Screen Display) menu which allows you to navigate several screen properties i.e. color temperature, brightness and contrast.

The catch? It reportedly depends on your video card. Aaarggghh! Still, a good-looking piece that would look great on any place it happens to perch itself.
