After receiving a complaint from Google, Microsoft has decided to budge in. The company’s Windows Vista will make certain changes, or improvements if you simply love Google, in response to the anti-competitive charges lodged by Google against them in the U.S. courts.

For the benefit of those who may not have heard it yet or may have forgotten about it, the complaint stems from the fact that the search engine megapower felt Microsoft did some monopolistic practices in their Vista desktop. What exactly were their grounds to have such assumptions? Well, it was supposedly next to impossible to to use Google, or any other search engine, to look into a local hard drive.

Thus, Microsoft is making certain changes. To wit:

1) There would be an easier way to use Google or any other search engine.

2) A link would be provided to the default search program.

3) Information dissemination regarding the changes they will make.

The changes are said to be part of the Vista Service Pack 1 that could be out by the end of this year.
