General Electric is not exactly having a career year. Owners of NBC, the fourth place television network in the United States, it surely needs a break nowadays. Enter the G1, the company’s foray into digital cameras. Unfortunately, it has faced heavy criticism from almost everyone.
However, those criticisms may have some basis. Apart from the chic design of the G1, all else fails, it seems. See, the faults go from the places the parts are located to overall performance. For example, the lens is so strategically placed that slight movements could make your finger obstruct the view.
Moreover, performance and photo quality are quite atrocious, to say the least. The shooting speed is eons removed from previous digital cameras. It cannot compete with most brands out there. The time interval between shots is quite dragging too. Also, this 7 megapixel camera does not show like it is a 7 megapixel camera. The photos it produces have bad details all over it.
Reviews have been harsh to the General Electric G1. Sadly, they are true.
