If there is such a thing as hugely anticipated these days, it is probably the Tablet PC from Dell. The Latitude XT tablet PC has been much awaited for quite some time now. Finally though, the long wait is about to end for those in the United States that are really curious about it. According to the company’s Web site, the Latitude XT is ready to be shipped in the U.S.

The laptop is said to be powered by Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage 1.2 GHz chip, 12.1 inch display, and either a LCD or LED display option. The display could actually be flipped over to convert it into a tablet PC from a laptop. There are also WiMax capabilities in the Latitude XT as well as Bluetooth support.

It will come with 1GB of DDR2 on-board memory and have memory modules supporting up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM. It comes with a four-cell battery and weighs 4 pounds. The operating system would be Windows XP Tablet Edition or Windows Vista.
