If you think awards are reserved to sports and entertainment, you are dead-wrong. Even in the world of technology and gadgetry, awards are just as important to make products as profitable as possible. What is most important though, is the recognition of outstanding performance that comes with it.

Apple Inc. sure knows how good it feels to receive some distinction. After all, their computers are the most reliable and its support the most dependable of the five top vendors, a national chain of computer service shops said recently. Rescuecom Corp., in their second annual reliability report, adjudged the company for such acclaim based on the percentage of each company’s support calls with its market share. The greater the difference, the higher the score, and the better the hardware and follow-up OEM support.

Macs beat machines built and sold by such well-known computer companies like Lenovo, Hewlett-Packard Co. and Dell. Apple, last year’s second placer, posted a score so high it was 51% betetr than this year’s second-placer Lenovo.
