We have not featured enough graphics card lately in this site, I know. Thing is, it seems that Nvidia’s GeForce 8800 GTS has somehow been the standard and the easy decision for most consumers. That led ATI to do something about it.
ATI has just recently launched a next generation graphics card which they hope would very well compete with the aforementioned leader. The 512 MB graphics card is a product of months of fine-tuning in order to be a leap forward to their line of graphics card.
What insiders have come to see about the newly-launched product is that it is indeed designed to go head-to-head with the competition. The Radeon HD2900 XT is a boisterous piece of software, aiming to give more pizzazz to your desktop. Of course, needless to say it does indeed require lots of power.
More that that, the true comparison is reportedly it also tries to go toe-to-toe with Nvidia in terms of performance and image quality. Obviously, it kind of depends on the game.
Still, it is a work in progress. It is still too early to tell since there are no games available yet to clearly show just how much oomph it really possesses. Till then, this graphic card has nowhere to go but up in terms of improving its quality.
