The latest trend in technology these days – well, aside from any incarnation of the iPod that is – is the Blu-Ray. Not everybody has bought into it just yet but the forecast is, sooner rather than later, most everyone would.
So, that brings us to the Samsung BD-P1200. One thing you should know before you proceed to read on: this ain’t yesterday’s Blu-Ray player. This is, in fact the first of its kind. This player is the first second-generation Blu-Ray player in the market. Another achievement for Samsung!
With that, it already raises the bar among the other companies involved in Blu-Ray. As expected, the BD-P1200 improves on some flaws of first-generation Blu-Ray players. This tabletop player has the following features and specifications:
1) parental lock
2) Width: 16.9 in
3) 40 watt power consumption
4)Â DTS, Dolby Digital and MPEG-2 outputs
5) Infrared remote control
Let’s get back to the improvements we have noted earlier. This player can actually play HDCDs and basically almost every media format out there. Plus, the image quality is a s close to perfect as one could get in Blu-Ray and DVD. Moreover, as with most in teh Samsung brand, the design is real sleek and sexy.
The major flaw is not on the gadget itself. rather, it is the expensive price tag. The price would most probably make potential buyers cringe. Still, those who can afford it would feel blessed.
