Most MP3 players nowadays have fallen to two categories. Some fall into the eye-catching but so expensive type. The others are cheap-looking to go with their affordable prices. Simply put, consumers have no choice at all. It is a compromise when it comes to selecting an MP3 player that does not fall into the iPod line. So, most people have to give in to a liability, one way or another.
Samsung tries to remedy this with their spanking brand new MP3 player, dubbed U3. No, it is not a rival of that Irish band featuring Bono. Rather, it is a flash MP3 player that has 2GB packed with music of your choice. With color schemes of either green, black, blue and pink, it is sure to be attractive to those who want a simple looking player. The rectangular player checks in at a compact 3.2 x 1 x 0.5 inch frame. It supports MP3, OGG, ASF, and WMA files.
Other features include FM tuner capability as well as voice recording. Of course, it also comes with flaws to go with its affordable price tag. It’s sound quality is passable at best and it is as basic as the come. Still, it is worthy of being inexpensive without exactly being downright ugly.
