Sony has now a new flagship product in its line of laptops. The Sony VAIO TZ 150 N/B aims to be the standard, not the alternative. What has been the talk lately about this laptop is its size: it is about a thick inch, which comes off as a surprise to most reviewers. After all, it is said to be here to supplant altogether Sony’s previous flagship, the VAIO TX.
With just 1 GB of RAM, the price tag already comes off a bit expensive to some. An Intel Core 2 Duo is good, until you find out that it does little to help the TZ 150’s sluggish performance. The system was quite slow, especially at the onstart. There are also some minor quibbles with hang-ups or stutters. Plus, there was alos plenty of bloatware or filelrs that add to its problematic speed.
What saves it from being quite a bad deal was its battery life. It was surprisingly longer than what could be expected from a small laptop. Moreover, there is a DVD burner for those who want their laptops to be THAT efficient. So, if you can get past the occasional bumpy ride and the expensive price tag, this might be a good deal for you.
